GREATER KC LGBTQ PARENT CONNECTION
Join parents and guardians of LGBTQ youth for the monthly Greater KC LGBTQ Parent Connection meeting every third Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. Because of the world we live in, it may be hard to cope when your child tells you that they identify as LGBTQ. The first reaction is often shock and disbelief. You may feel fear and sadness for your child. Often you may feel a sense of loss that the person whom you thought you knew so well seems to have changed. Listening to, and speaking with, other parents who are coping, or who now have a comfortable understanding of their child’s individuality, may provide support. This monthly meeting will be a time for parents of LGBTQ youth to share stories, insights and support. The meeting is co-led by two parents who have children that identify as LGBTQ.
Every third Tuesday 6-7 p.m. - Synergy’s Youth Campus
2001 NE Parvin Road - Kansas City, Mo. 64116
For more information, contact Rachel Francis at 816-505-4894 or [email protected]
